~October 1st, 2008 .. A new hardcopy album is available: "Nylonrijp" by Bas van Huizen.
"The basis for every track on Nylonrijp is the nylon-string guitar.
Also used were the lectric guitar, chinese gourd flute, voices and various objects.
As in most of my work I play around with dissonance, harmony and various textures, but here I have focused a bit more on (interlocking) staccato tones.
Nylonrijp comes with a bonus EP with older tracks. It all fits on one disc, so why waste another.
It gave me the perfect opportunity to use my homemade one-string "guitar" for a musical announcement to differentiate between the two EPs."

~September 19th, 2008 .. Another update at the Etherkreet Depository, with a few older pieces from Bas.

~September 7th, 2008 .. The Etherkreet Depository is updated with the 23-minute piece "krkkl" by Ezra.
"I made dense blocks of sound that move slowly as a whole but still have many different smaller gestures and details inside. To make space for these smaller things I tried to make the blocks as large as possible, in an acoustic sense (with spatially wide & surrounding sound) but also in the sense of them developing slowly and articulated. Loud."

~August 31th, 2008 .. On our log you will find more Etherkreet related sound material from the vault, material in mp3-format that we'd rather publish as stand-alone, downloadable works than in hardcopy form.
The first batch of log-only music is by Bas van Huizen, recorded during improvisation sessions in a Tokyo public park.
It even features a bizarre 4 minute epic that some Japanese elementary school children made with his setup.
These are all free downloads ofcourse, so have a listen - the log will be updated periodically .
